“Do Something Different”
October 23, 2010
In my last blog entry, I mentioned that the advice that Steve Forbes gave for leaders and entrepreneurs at the Get Motivated Seminar was “do something different.” Our focus here at Whatever-Weather.com is just that. As we head toward our one year anniversary in December, we are making a few changes to the site. The heart of the website remains the same – a job board for meteorologists where it is free to post jobs, free to search jobs, and free to apply for jobs. In addition to our Blog and Network, we are adding Video, which will highlight different types of meteorology related jobs. From broadcasting to government work, private sector to education, we’ll ask the professionals in the field “What’s your weather job?”.
The goal is to inform (and hopefully entertain) our users regarding the many possible careers in the world of meteorology. As always, we encourage interaction. If you’d like to tell us about your weather job, please email us through the contact form. If there is a specific one you wish to learn more about, please let us know that as well. If you’d like to discuss what you see, please make use of the Network. “Off Topic” is the perfect forum to use.
Stay tuned for our first video segment to be available in the next few weeks. As always, thank you for your support and please help spread the word!
